Design & Social Media

In marketing, cohesive branding and a consistent vibe on social media are crucial. I have had the opportunity to work on external marketing for my student organization, Exposure Productions, and the University of Michigan Industrial & Operations Engineering department

 

For my social media and design work I typically use Adobe Illustrator or Canva Premium.. 

Exposure Productions

I started Exposure Productions in December 2021 and quickly established a brand that would stand out from other film organizations on campus. I wanted Exposure to have a professional but hip energy. I went with darker primary colors with a pop of turquoise and a mix of geometric and organic shapes. My co-exec producer, Adela, designed our camera mascot/logo inspired by vintage animation. This mascot quickly became an integral part of our image.

U-M Industrial & Operations Engineering (IOE)

IOE is one of the lesser-known majors in the engineering department at Michigan, so my goal as a communications assistant is to raise awareness of the major among prospective U-M students and freshmen in engineering. These graphics were made as part of a "Declare IOE" campaign using Adobe Illustrator.

GIVING BLUE DAY

Giving Blue Day is a University of Michigan fundraising campaign held every March. Each department and student organization at U-M uses this day to encourage donations.

I designed these slides for the digital signs in the IOE building on campus. They were displayed for a week before Giving Blue Day to showcase the various programs that donors to the IOE department support. I used Canva to create a scrapbook-esque look for this campaign. I wanted the designs to feel like students and alumni were looking through their memories at Michigan.

Social Media was a major part of this campaign as well. I made Instagram posts with simple graphics each day for a week leading up to Giving Blue Day, which coincided with the digital signs and LinkedIn posts. I made sure to include current students and tag their accounts to encourage engagement from them and their peers.
